Military history display targets soldiers' charity
The display, featuring an array of fascinating items, is being held to raise money for Help for Heroes, the charity which supports wounded British service personnel.
"Children are welcome to come along and see the weapons and other items," said organiser Councillor Mike Fryers.
"I think it is very important that children are made aware of our history and our heritage."
The display will include items such as a Bren gun, Sten gun, a 303 rifle, a bazooka, bayonets, uniforms, field telephones and radios. Also a soldier, who has served in Afghanistan, is lending his uniform for the display.
The exhibition, which will run until Wednesday (November 11) at the club in Birmingham Road, is from 7pm till late.
