A BURNTWOOD man is using pedal power this week to raise cash for the County Air Ambulance.

Chris Wright is cycling a 650-mile route from Brands Hatch in Kent to the Dutch capital of Amsterdam.

The 35-year-old, who lives in St Benedict's Road, is hoping people will offer sponsorship and help raise as much as possible.

"The Air Ambulance gets no funding from the Government so it's up to people like you and me to raise funds for such a deserving charity," he said.

Chris, who says he loves mountain biking and a challenge, set off from the Bike Rader Live event at Brands Hatch on Sunday.

Chris would like to thank Sanders Cycles, Artall Signage and Freedom Cycles for sponsorship.

Anyone willing to sponsor Chris is asked to log on at www.just giving.com/chris-wright2.
