Garrick's Aladdin will be magical
"Spectacular scenery, magic music and fabulous costumes" are to ensure this year's Garrick panto will be the most dazzling it has ever staged.
The show will feature a beautiful princess and a slave to the ring, a genie and a villain in oldest Beijing.
Laughter and laundry, magic and mayhem, it will all be in Aladdin.
An ancient curse decrees that on her 18th birthday, Princess Balroubadour must meet and marry a prince of royal blood.
However, the wicked Abanazar has other ideas.
Aided by his magical slave he seeks the legendary, enchanted lamp that can grant wishes beyond your wildest dreams.
But he has not reckoned with our hero Aladdin and his family.
Don't miss this magical show for all the family.
The Garrick's favourite funnyman Barnaby is to play Wishee Washee, while writer and director Ian Adams, in his fourth Lichfield pantomime, will be getting into a lather as Widow Twankey.
Aladdin himself will be played by Paul Martin-McDowell, Princess Balroubadour by Rachel Matthews and the role of the Genie is being taken by the fabulous Rustie Lee.
Aladdin opens tomorrow and runs until Saturday, January 9.
Tickets can be booked at the Garrick box office on 01543 412121 or at www.lichfieldgarrick.com
Enjoy the magical thrills of Aladdin at the Garrick Theatre, starring Rustie Lee, centre, as the Genie, from tomorrow.
